So today we will look at the G major scale and analyse it, here we see that F has a sharp in it which goes up one semi-tone. I love this scale when it comes to the 4th string where by you are forced to use your pinky finger for that 4th fret on the D string. Whenever I'm doing warm-up excersises for my fingers, I'd always come back to the scales, although for most people normal like me initially, its like a nightmare to us, something which our music teacher would ask us to practice , but nevertheless, we would always find ourselves jamming on chords and etc instead of going slow on the fretboard one by one. This really helps strenghten the finger mussles and also the dexterity to move fast around the fretboard, of course, this is just a basic routine moving up and down the fretboard, more advanced scales can be found on Ultimate-Guitar tab. Once again, please use a metranome when playing these scales, start slow and you will gradually find yourself playing better in terms of feel and ability to know if you have played a wrong note or skipped a fret by accident. This applys to all instruments XD , good luck and enjoy!

For the past 2 weeks I've been training on that Fm Chord which have been a killer to me as my 3th string would'nt produce any sound at all. I find that an F chord with the A minor shape is so much easier. But I've got to strenghten my left index finger for sure asap as I need that chord for a song called "Bai se feng che" Anyways, Im starting to get in love with G and C major scales excercise which has benefited me in one way or another when playing with a normal metranome.

This is me in Australia in 2008 during march 20th-30th

Back then when my mom and dad brought me over to stay at my aunt's little bungalow which had a big garage. I was reminded of that Ibanez Guitar which was a copy but it was really great to mess around with and I was in love with a song called "Hot by avril". My cousin chrisopher allowed me to play on his ps2 which was really awesome because I never knew my cousin could play guitar hero so well that I was just spending my evening hours on the ps2 playing guitar hero till I could play with 5 buttons. My uncle taught me on how the chord theory system worked and I was really fascinated by it. Infact I even brought my Music theory books over to practice whenever I'm free though I spent most of my time reading on other books. The weather in austriallia was surperb! really recomend you guys who have never been there to explore the place, I was in perth which was also the western part of australlia, oh yeah and for those who live in australlia, do check out their maton guitars! especially custom model #35, its a great sounding guitar worth the buy although its around 3000-5000 in my country. I'm sure I'm either gonna get one of the ovations or the taylor guitars when I'm a bit older or more experienced in music.

Currently playing : Hot - Avril Lavigne
